I´m participating in a political performance exchange curated by Elana Mann, with many artists from the US and Latin America and other parts of the globe. It is  quite an interesting project which works on the idea of performers exchanging papers and doing a performance around US Elections 2008 . Artists from the US will do performances from papers given by their counterparts in other parts and viceversa, it will uploaded on blogs and on this great website www. exchangerate2008.com which you can access from the links on your right. I will be participating with my already known La Mesa (the Table) which invites three or four times ten  people from all walks of life to share around a table of food, drink and conversation about the elections. The table gets placed in a well visited place of town, street, plaza, square or mall. The Artist performer executes a low profile performance dressed as Miranda Texidor, and elicits conversation from the people invited. Although questions about the political atmosphere are asked, guests are welcome to wonder into any type of conversation they  want.
